Score your resume against postings for free and track every application

Looking for a Jobscan alternative? Here is what JobQuill does, so you can decide for yourself.

JobQuill checks your resume for completeness, quantified impact, action verbs and ATS structure at no cost, and pairs Resume Studio with a full application tracker.

Resume Studio

Resume Studio is where you write your resume, and it reads the resume back to you as you go.

  • A live readiness score checks your resume against the format applicant tracking systems read. It is counted on your device as you type, so it costs nothing and never spends an AI credit.

  • Each open fix says what to change, and Show me takes you to the spot in your resume.

  • Write in guided mode, one step at a time, or in the full editor. Both work on the same document, and you can switch either way.

  • Each application remembers which resume you sent with it, on every plan.

On the Free plan

  • 1 ATS resume on the Harvard format in the Classic design, with the live readiness score and PDF export
  • One free AI resume review
  • An interview prep checklist for every interview: what the posting asks for and the classic questions to rehearse

Quill Apply logs what you send

Quill Apply is the JobQuill extension for Chrome and Edge.

  • Save a job from the page you are reading, straight to your pipeline or to your Inbox to sort later.

  • Fill in application forms from the profile you keep in your settings.

  • Press Submit on an application and it is logged for you. An Apply button often only opens the form, so after one of those Quill asks before logging anything.

On the Free plan

  • Browser extension clipping (Chrome or Edge), 5 saved jobs a day
  • 3 Quill AI assists a day in the extension: application answers, cover letters and recruiter notes

Where JobQuill is different

  • One step forward

A rejection is logged as one step forward and earns XP. Quill answers it, and the first no of the day puts a Bounce Back quest on your board. This is free on every plan.

  • On the Free plan: Daily quests, XP and streaks, including a quest Quill checks against the resume you actually sent.

  • The Job Board is inside the tracker. Picking up a posting opens its application and logs it in your pipeline.

    On the Free plan

    • The Job Board: your top 5 matches, and every result when you search
  • Pro is $19.99 a month, or $89.99 for 6 months. It starts with a 14-day free trial.

The free trial comes with your first Pro subscription.

Switching takes a few minutes

  • Bring your resume. Resume Studio reads the resume you already have from a PDF or a plain text file and opens it in the editor, so you can check every line. It needs a PDF with real text in it, not a scanned picture of a page.

  • Add the extension. Add Quill Apply from the Chrome Web Store, in Chrome or Edge. From then on, the applications you submit log themselves.

What to know before you choose JobQuill

  • JobQuill is new. It opened to everyone in August 2026.

  • The Free plan holds 1 resume. Pro holds as many as you like.

  • Quill Apply installs from the Chrome Web Store and works in Chrome and Edge.

  • The Free plan saves 5 jobs to your Inbox a day. The applications you log are unlimited.

  • There is no native mobile app. On a phone, JobQuill runs in your browser.

Try a tracker where a no counts

The Free plan costs nothing: unlimited applications, daily quests, and Quill's support after a rejection. No card needed.
