Role Definition
Coordinates and supports site integration, installation, commissioning of after market Package Refurbishment and Upgrades (PR&U) projects. Serves as the on-site customer contact and liaison between the customer, Project Management, field teams, and contractors to facilitate safe, high-quality and timely project execution.
Responsibilities
- Provides site integration leadership for complex PR&U projects, including remote, overseas and offshore assignments.
- Coordinates installation, commissioning and field activities with customers, Solar personnel, suppliers and EPC or third-party contractors.
- Ensures compliance with safety requirements, work permit systems and Solar QHSE standards.
- Monitors field execution against the project schedule, scope and customer shutdown plan.
- Prepares work scope documents, technical documents, job plans, installation schedules and other site-specific documentation.
- Coordinates manpower, equipment, inventory, permits, tools, supplies and local logistics.
- Attends customer meetings and supports project mobilization, installation and closeout activities.
- Facilitates the resolution of technical, quality, schedule and site issues with relevant stakeholders.
- Provides field feedback, including issues encountered, corrective actions and customer satisfaction.
- Supports site data collection, contractor evaluation, local-content quotations and factory testing when required.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Experience Requirement
Relevant field experience with gas turbines and gas compressor products and services is required.
Additional Requirements
- Able to travel extensively to remote, overseas and offshore locations.
- Able to maintain the offshore medical and survival certifications required for assignments.
- Proficient in English and able to communicate effectively with customer site personnel and Solar Turbines internal team.
- Sensitive to local cultures and able to balance customer expectations with contractual requirements.

Technical Knowledge
Knowledge of Solar Turbines products, services and processes, including rotating equipment, control systems, mechanical and electrical devices, instrumentation and gas turbine applications.
Level Extensive Experience
- Applies relevant technical knowledge during field execution.
- Uses Solar documentation, electronic tools and databases.
- Understands gas turbines, driven equipment and control-system interfaces.
- Supports technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Quality, Planning and Logistics
Knowledge of field quality, site planning, documentation and logistics requirements; ability to coordinate resources needed for successful project execution.
Level Extensive Experience
- Ensures work complies with applicable standards, company policies and good practices.
- Prepares work packs, job plans and installation schedules.
- Coordinates inventory, permits, tools, equipment and local logistics.
- Reports field quality issues and supports corrective actions.
