Job Description
About The Position
The Senior Manager, People Products and Systems designs, builds, and continuously improves the products, processes, and data systems that power KIPP Foundation's talent strategy.
This role is responsible for transforming complex talent work into simple, scalable experiences for KIPP Foundation staff. The Senior Manager owns a portfolio of talent products across the employee lifecycle, including tools, templates, workflows, dashboards, documentation, and operating processes. They partner closely with the People Operations, Data and Analytics, and Marketing and Communications teams to ensure talent systems are intuitive, data-driven, and consistently executed across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional systems thinker who enjoys bringing order to complexity. They are equally comfortable designing new processes, analyzing data, documenting workflows, facilitating stakeholder conversations, and improving products based on user feedback.
Responsibilities
Product Management
- Own the lifecycle of multiple Development and Management Cycle products such as Core Skills Rubric and related toolkits, from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
- Translate organizational strategy into practical tools, templates, dashboards, workflows, and resources.
- Gather user feedback and analyze usage data to prioritize product improvements that allow for user friendliness and impact.
- Define product requirements and partner across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain a product roadmap that balances strategic priorities with operational needs.
Process Design & Continuous Improvement
- Design, document, and continuously improve talent processes that increase consistency, efficiency, and user experience.
- Build repeatable systems that reduce complexity and enable high-quality execution across the organization.
- Identify bottlenecks, root causes, and opportunities for automation or simplification.
- Ensure processes align with organizational operating norms and integrate effectively with adjacent systems.
Data & Insights
- Develop and maintain reliable data systems that support talent decisions.
- Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful success metrics and dashboards.
- Monitor data quality and establish processes that ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
Project & Change Management
- Lead cross-functional implementation of new products and processes.
- Create project plans, monitor milestones, and proactively manage risks.
- Develop communications, training, and implementation resources that support adoption.
- Build stakeholder investment through thoughtful change management.
Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain clear documentation for products, systems, and processes.
- Ensure institutional knowledge is organized, accessible, and continuously updated.
- Establish standards for documentation, version control, and process ownership.

Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience and results with creating and implementing talent processes and tools, especially in the development, performance management, and employee recognition.
- Experience in the K-12 sector is strongly preferred, but not mandatory
