Write your resume and track your search in one place

Looking for a Teal alternative? Here is what JobQuill does, so you can decide for yourself.

JobQuill puts Resume Studio beside the tracker, so the resume you write and the applications you send it to live together. When a no comes back, it counts as a step forward.

Resume Studio

Resume Studio is where you write your resume, and it reads the resume back to you as you go.

  • A live readiness score checks your resume against the format applicant tracking systems read. It is counted on your device as you type, so it costs nothing and never spends an AI credit.

  • Each open fix says what to change, and Show me takes you to the spot in your resume.

  • Write in guided mode, one step at a time, or in the full editor. Both work on the same document, and you can switch either way.

  • Each application remembers which resume you sent with it, on every plan.

On the free Standard plan

  • 1 ATS resume on the Harvard format in the Classic design, with the live readiness score and PDF export
  • One free AI resume review
  • An interview prep checklist for every interview: what the posting asks for and the classic questions to rehearse

Where JobQuill is different

  • One step forward

A rejection is logged as one step forward and earns XP. Quill answers it, and the first no of the day puts a Bounce Back quest on your board. This is free on every plan.

  • Free on the Standard plan: Daily quests, XP and streaks, including a quest Quill checks against the resume you actually sent.

  • The Job Board is inside the tracker. Picking up a posting opens its application and logs it in your pipeline.

    On the free Standard plan

    • 5 Job Board picks a day, and every result when you search
  • Pro is $19.99 a month, or $89.99 for 6 months. It starts with a 14-day free trial.

The free trial comes with your first Pro subscription.

Mark one of these rejected and I will show you what happens. Then try all three.

The tracker beside it

Every application lands in one pipeline, however you log it: by hand, from the Job Board or with the extension.

On the free Standard plan

  • Unlimited applications, notes and calendar events
  • Visual pipeline in list, grid or board view
  • Your career roadmap, measured against real applications

Switching takes a few minutes

  • Bring your resume. Resume Studio reads the resume you already have from a PDF or a plain text file and opens it in the editor, so you can check every line. It needs a PDF with real text in it, not a scanned picture of a page.

  • Bring your list. If your applications are in a spreadsheet or a CSV file, Import on your Applications page reads the Title, Applied, Stage, Verdict, Notes, Link, Salary min, Salary max and Archived columns and shows you every row, dates included, before anything is saved. Applications are unlimited on the free plan, so the whole list comes across.

  • Add the extension. Download Quill Apply from your settings and load it in Chrome or Edge. From then on, the applications you submit log themselves.

What to know before you choose JobQuill

  • JobQuill is new. It opened to everyone in August 2026.

  • The free Standard plan holds 1 resume. Pro holds as many as you like.

  • There is no native mobile app. On a phone, JobQuill runs in your browser.

  • Quill Apply is not on the Chrome Web Store yet. You download it from your settings and load it by hand.

  • The free Standard plan holds 5 clipped jobs in your Inbox at a time. The applications you log are unlimited.

Try a tracker where a no counts
